I'm a christian and not enough brain power, but stories have been evolving regarding the true sabbath, i may not be correct but Jesus raises on the sabbath day, which the bible say it was the first day of the week. But there is a STORY:

The “Scientific Proof” of Joshua’s Long Day
By Wayne Jackson

Some “stories” take on a life of their own. No matter how frequently they are debunked, they survive. Such is true with reference to the supposed astronomical “proof” for the biblical narrative regarding “Joshua’s long day.”

When the Israelite army was involved in the conquest of Canaan, God supernaturally intervened on a certain occasion by lengthening the daylight period of a particular battle day, and thus allowing the Hebrews to achieve a great victory (Josh. 10:12-14). Skeptical critics, of course, scoff at this account, because they, ipso facto, reject the miraculous.

About a century ago, a story made its way into the public’s attention. Professor C.A. Totten of Yale University produced an account of how a colleague of his, an astronomer, had discovered “scientific” confirmation of “Joshua’s long day.”

Supposedly, by studying the records of ancient equinoxes, eclipses, transits, etc., this scientist had discovered a “missing day” in history, which he was later able to explain by combining the account of Joshua’s extended day, together with the record of the backward-moving shadow on Hezekiah’s sundial (Isa. 38:7-8) the sun shadows was reverse 10 degrees back which is 40 minutes on the face of the clock thus complete the 24 hour system missing. He thus had discovered a “demonstration” that the Scripture record was scientifically accurate in this regard.

In his research he stated that the day was missing, he calculated to the day of Joshua saying that the bible was untrue about a whole day, but it was 23 hours and 20 minutes his questioned was "Where is the last missing 40 mins?!" His answers lay in Isa 38 : 1-8 which is 10 degrees back (which is 40 minutes on the face of the clock completing the whole of 24 hour day.).

So frankly speaking, if the day was missing by one,so we are one day forward, we have to minus one day back. Say for examples if it was Monday (the second day of the wk) minus one we are on the 7 which is Sunday (the 7th day of the wk), another good examples we people worship on saturday (the 7th day of the wk) we minus one day back we worship on friday (the 6th day of the wk), if we worship on Sunday (the 1st day of the wk) we minus one day back we are on saturday (the , which the Bible firmly stress that it was a correct Jew's sabbath day.)

So if Jesus was dead on Friday the 6th day (minus one) he was crucified on thursday, when Jesus was raised from the dead on Sunday minus one (the 1st day of the wk) he was raised on Saturday the 7th day of the wk (which we called Sunday the 7th day of the wk)
