mauri, guys. please allow me this space to air my concern on the proposed invitation by the MSG.

The MSG is an idependant group consists of only Melanesian countries. (A bataroro aomata aikai, ao a ngeringeri iraia). The interesting fact is that these Melanesian countries are also the home of thousands of i-Kiribati.

What concern me on this matter is that the decision of the Kiribati President on this particular issue could effect the lifes of many i-Kiribati people who are living, working and studying in these Melanesian countries.

In Solomon Islands (Ngai kain toromon), the figure of the i-Kiribati population has been increasing repidly as according to statistics. (Honiara).

These statistics presents figures not in hundreds but in Thousands and I guess the population of i-Kiribati in the Solomon Islands could be more than Eight thousand. (8000).

I hope President Anote Tong will take the rightful step in creating a brother-hood bond with these MSG for the sake of many i-Kiribati people who are living, working and studying in these countries.

I put my support and trust along with the President of Kiribati at this comming MSG meeting.

Living abroad makes me feel isolated from the Kiribati political community. Could you elaborate on this issue please? Is there a Political debate currently on-going in Kiribati, that would affect the lives and well-being of I-Kiribati living in the Melanesian countries?
