I have heard a number of complaint against the ANZ bank corruption and injustice service in Kiribati.  Someone sent cash from Fiji to Kiribati, and he was shocked to learn that the exchange rate that the ANZ was using is far too high and stealing a get deal amount of cash from the people. Another example is that if someone is overdraft the penalty in Kiribati by ANZ is AUS$300. whereas in Fiji it is F$25 or 30 dollars. This is another example of "INJUSTICE" and "CORRUPTION" in Kiribati. The sad thing is that if the Kiribati government is a shareholder of the ANZ, then the government is also partly responsible for this injustice and corruption by allowing these to happen in our beloved Kiribati. Common guys stop this greed, injustice and corruption. If this is the case, it might be better to allow another bank to operate in Kiribati and to provide a better just service to our people. Stop monopolizing services.  In 2009, I was shocked when I gave the US$50 at the Otintaai hotel and was given AUS49. I asked why, and the resply was that the Hotel is imitating the ANZ exchange rate in Kiribati at that time, because it did not, then if the hotel give the US$50 to ANZ, the hotel will get little in AUS$.  I call upon the ANZ bank to provide a just service to our people and stop making uncessary profits from our poor people.  If BSP can provide a better banking service, it might as well be better to be allowed to start its branch in Kiribati. God is happy with individuals, bussinesses, and coooperations that provide a clean and just service, but condemns those who are greedy, corrupt, and unjust to the poor and ordinary people.
