Coincidence?
Last October 6 in Kiribati (& October 5 in Samoa) marked the 1st anniversary of Mr Salatielu Moupa's passing in Am Samoa. Salatielu, a Tuvaluan was an ex KGV & EBS student and he loved the school and life on Tarawa so much that he often reminisced with his friends about them so many times when he was alive. Sadly, he died of a heart attack last year. Coincidently, Taam Biribo an ex KGV & EBS student passed away of a heart attack too 1 year after. Still remembers Taam at the USP and he was a great guy.
Once again with respect I offer Condolences to Taam Biribo's family and friends and May He RIP. Still remembering Salatielu as well after 1 year and May He also RIP.

Still remembers KGV & EBS with fond and happy memories. It was a well equipped boarding school and lots of activities taking place from time to time. Food at the dining hall was great and I still remember those delicious scones or whatever it's called during afternoon tea time at the dining hall. The school choir that provided beautiful entertainment under the leadership of the Choir Master, Mr Clark was awesome. The choir even made some recording at the Radio Station and their music was often played over the local radio. There was a school band that provided great entertainment during social evenings and one of the favorites 'Baby Blue' plus other top hits often played. Also remembers that the school band was made available by one of the male expat teachers, Mr Allen Jones who provided funds to purchase all the musical instruments and the best musicians from the student population were selected to play in the band. Some of them that I remember are: Lopati, Bauro, Barry, Itaaka,, Agnes K Tarau, Susan Tebaau. Sports Day was an annual event to look forward to and remembers Holland Dormitory from the boys winning so many times. There was the Treasure Hunt that was enjoyed immensely by students and staff. Sunday afternoon walk was one of the activities that students really took advantage of because one was able to visit with family and friends outside the campus. These are only some from a long list of those precious memories of the beautiful High School, KGV & EBS. I hope the school is just as beautiful now as in those long gone years where all the time was provided to all students to study and get as much education as he/she can while in school and at the same time kept occupied and entertained by the various social activities, etc.. provided by the school.
Cheers!

A few more photos that may be of interest to ex KGV & EBS students and current students as well. This 1st one is a good shot of Anetoka, a photo taken by one of the expatriate teachers from the United Kingdom in the early 70s
