To tell you all the truth...I really didn't thought my mom a Pohnpeiian would be a part of the Kiribati Islands. I'm here from my fathers side...Tei Abaiang, Tarawa ao Maiana...but to find out my mom's great great grandmother married an I-Kiribati was sooo suprising...I'm soo happy to know that I have Aroraean blood in me...
My line: Jim(Teitebwan Toatoa) of Arorae married Mariah of Mwaokilloa, Pohnpeii. Their daughter Amelain Welles had a daughter Helga and Helga Dakano had my grandmother Angie Dakano and she had my mom Linda Peter.
Jim was a fisherman and this was his nickname as the I-matang couldn't pronounce his name right. His real name was Teitebwan Toatoa but not really sure of the name spelling or if it's the other way around Toatoa Teitebwan. I got this info from my relatives back in Pohnpeii and they don't know how to pronounce the name or even spell it, so that's the most I can get from them.
I think I'm the only one of my great great great grandfather here in Kiribati. So please if anyone has any information of my Ancestor to please share with me.
Looking forward to your help.
