T. Moanriba The Best Religion

A prominent Catholic theologian was discussing religion with the Dalai Lama and asked him, “Your holiness, what is the best religion?” He thought the answer would be something like, “Tibetan Buddhism” or “The oriental religions, much older than Christianity. The Dalai Lama paused, smiled and looked him in the eyes, and to the surprise of the theologian, replied: “The best religion is the one that gets you closest to God. It is the one that makes you a better person.” Embarrassed at such a wis… Continue

Andrew Z International Playlist "Kiribati Tribute" Special Episode in the works.

So as many of you already know, I host a radio show in the US called The International Playlist on a college radio station (considering putting up a profile on here for it.
I have an idea to help raise awareness of Kiribati's existence and it's current problems.
I am aware that your country is in danger of disappearing under the sea and that not many tourists go to Kiribati.
I want to do a special episode for Kiribati. Playing all Kiribati music for two hours.
I will also be rese… Continue

ULMO International Driving....

What am I to do, when I'm in a foreign land where driving etiquette is different from what I'm used to? Driving in a foreign land can be overwhelming at times especially when I don't do my homework ahead of time prior to getting a rental car.

Here are a few ideas to put into practice when there is a need for me to drive in a foreign country:

1) Since many countries have different driving rules, if possible, obtain a

COWBOY WARRIORS no#1 FAN Economical Hardship on the Big Island

Life is getting tougher for most people as they try to look for jobs to support their families. Many people have been laid off from their jobs and many have pulled out their children from private schools because they could not afford the fees.

This economical hardship leave no choice for the parents to have their children to stay in private schools...as a result they have to take them out and put them in public schools....younger children are placed with babysitters or home based child… Continue

Leo MY ROOTS...MY CULTURE AND MY FORGOTTEN ANCESTORS

Long before my birth, the lives of my family was simple. We lived among nature and with nature, enjoying the sweet fruits of the land and of the sea. They listen to the birds' songs in the air, felt the wind as it journeyed through the trees and watched the majestic waves soaring and crushing into the reefs that surrounded our island. Young men and women went about in grass skirts and mats, embracing the life around them. loving all that they meet and taking care of each other.

ULMO Just my thoughts on Goal Setting, Objectives and Measurements.....

Much has been said and written over the years about the value of goal setting and the importance of guiding our lives toward certain predetermined objectives. This process has taken on many of the aspects of an exact science. It has found expression in the world of education in the form of behavioral objectives, and in the corporate and industrial world it manifests itself in a "management-by-objective" philosophy. Some individuals feel that unless each hour of each day is programmed to achieContinue

Bweny Kamaua My first day of Ramadan

Today is the first day of Ramadan (fasting for the Muslims). Waking up at 4am to eat and drink as much as you can for the whole day was not an easy task. I was too sleepy for a heavy meal at 4am. Anyway, the clock struck 5:15am, we stopped eating and cleaned away everything. Then it was time to go pray at the mosque at 6am. For the first few hours of the morning, I was feeling fine but a little after 1pm, I began to feel so thirsty. It was 102 degrees today which just made it worse. The after

ULMO I'm Poor If I Lose A Friend Or Cease Being One...

I'm poor when my friendship inventory is depreciating. I'm poor when I'm friendless. When friends have a cause to desert, to disbelieve, to lose confidence in me, I'm poor.

Emerson said, "The only way to have a friend is to be one." A friend is a person who will not only take the time to know me but also take the time to be with me and never leave regardless of the circumstances. One of the greatest present I can give my friend is my best self.

The fees keep changing making it more and more expensive. So, why not do something now about your status or your plans to travel to the US before the application fee increases again? ULMO Affinity Fraud

Affinity fraud refers to investment scams that prey upon members of identifiable groups, such as religious or ethnic communities, the elderly, or professional groups. The fraudsters who promote affinity fraud scams frequently are --- or pretend to be --- members of the group. They often enlist respected community or religious leaders from within the group to spread the word about the scheme by convincing those people that a fraudulent investment is legitimate and worthwhile. Many times, those le… Continue
